Learn to play the violin, viola, cello, or bass in the Copper Canyon Orchestra!!
(No prior musical experience necessary)
- Copper Canyon Elementary welcomes students’ grades 4th through 6th to join the orchestra.
- Classes will be taught by Bonnie Heaton for the 2023-24 school year.
- Fourth through sixth grade students will receive two lessons per week beginning August 29, 2023.
- Beginning students (4th graders) will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:15 am to 8:55 am.
- Advanced students (5th and 6th graders) will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30 am to 8:15 am.
- Classes have already begun, but you can still enroll.
- Tuition is $100.
- Instrument rental is $80.
- Cellos and violas may be rented on a first come, first serve basis.
- Violins must be supplied by the student. Contact Bonnie for rental company suggestions.
- COVID-19 Protocols will be followed

- Method book: Sound Innovations Book I, by Bob Philips, Peter Boonshaft and Robert Shelton. Available at Riverton Music
- Rosin
- Pencil
- 3 ring binder
- Rock stop for cello/bass
